Article written for New Blood Art

Here is an article I wrote for New Blood Art about collecting art and the seven New Blood Art pieces I would love to own.

Featuring work by Julie-Ann Simpson, Aiden Milligan, Ed Saye, Rebecca
Fontaine-Wolf Art, Diane Rogan, Rob Lyon, plus my painting ‘Colours of
the Night Forest’.

So much talent! Enjoy!

The photo below shows my living room with three pieces from my art collection. Left to right: painting by Julie-Ann Simpson, Unknown artist from former Yugoslavia, screenprint by Craig Wright. Table and lamp are second hand and lampshade was made by me.

‘Behind Liberty Doors’ commissions now available!

The ‘Behind Liberty Doors’ series was so popular at Pittenweem Arts Festival, that I have a list of people to paint for! I have decided to offer this on my website, so that everyone can access it. This will be an ongoing series that I hope to exhibit with another artist in 2018. The commissions cost £125, including postage. You can choose from a selection of beautiful Liberty fabrics for a 20 x 25 cm painting featuring a door of your choice, or one from my personal collection. Click HERE for more information.

Pittenweem Arts Festival

It’s been a fantastic opening weekend at Pittenweem Arts Festival. I’ve had so many wonderful conversations with people visiting my exhibition and a few sales too. I feel very lucky to be this year’s Bursary Award Winner, as most people have already read about my work in the brochure before they have even stepped into the venue! Here are some photos of my Scottish landscapes on Liberty fabric. The exhibition runs until 13th August. Original paintings, plus prints and greetings cards are available in my shop
